Opi Sadler is a master winemaker, behind many of our most popular Argentinian reds. He learnt his skills from an early age in the dark cellars of his grandfather, whose family had always made wine.
Young Opi took a healthy interest, despite being a little spooked by the sleeping bats that always seemed to come to life as he crept down to the cellar with his candle.The name Waxed Bat recalls his vivid memories of how they'd knock into his candle and leave wax prints all over his grandfather's cellar.
The wine brims with bags of appealing ripe fruit – from spicy, liquorice-scented Shiraz, to cassis-laden Cabernet and dense, but juicy Malbec.
Smooth enough to drink solo and great with spare ribs or veggie wraps. Open early to let this blend breathe.
