Until 2025 we were fortunate and honoured to have James Halliday AM as Club President of The Australian Wine. For over 40 years, James Halliday’s wine column in The Australian was read by millions of people across the country. In that time, he has also authored and contributed to over 70 books, including bestselling annual wine guide – the Halliday Wine Companion. The wine guide still bears his name, although James is now fully retired. Through four decades he remained unquestionably Australia's leading wine authority.
