Exclusive Double Gold-winning Kilikanoon Cabernet – a Clare Valley beauty made exclusively for you by Halliday's 'Winery of the Year' 2013.
It comes from Kilikanoon’s Clare Valley heartland – this cuvee makes use of fruit from several ‘Settlement’ blocks in Leasingham originally given to soldiers returning from the World Wars.
"Deep ruby. Open nose of red and black fruit with a discreet hint of undergrowth. Lively attack with plenty of volume and freshness. Fine tannins allow the mature fruit to shine. Very pleasing style.90pts." (Gilbert & Gaillard Judges).
Kilikanoon, Halliday's 'Winery of the Year' 2013, first rose to prominence in 2002, scooping six of seven Trophies at the Clare Valley Show. The Clare Valley is heartland for the great winery, and the team there now under head winemaker, Peter Warr, are eager to give us exclusives to show the region can match regions like the Barossa for power, and beat it for fragrance and finesse. The region’s warm days and cool nights here yield Cabernet of terrific power, elegance and length.
