Fireplace Reds Super Six
At $18.99 a bottle, this trio of warming, full-flavoured reds make ideal fireside sippers.
Enjoy a fresh and beautifully-balanced exclusive Barossa Cabernet from the much-celebrated Burge family. This Gold winning ’23 vintage is a follow up to the 2022 debut that won Double Gold. Clare Valley’s highly-rated Sevenhill Cellars offers a 90pt “perky, 'purple' kind of Malbec with lots of boysenberry, mulberry and choc-orange characters found in the bouquet and palate.” (Halliday). Delightful hints of violets grace the nose and a little twist of aniseed makes for “… a decent hit of the variety with drinkability in tow.” Coco Rotie is always “fabulously drinkable”, as Sam Kim, Wine Orbit wrote of the 2020 vintage. That year it won a Trophy and several Golds. This 2022 has two Golds in the bag and scores of 92pts from James Suckling, and 91pts from Decanter. It’s an impressive take on France’s classic Syrah Viognier recipe. RedHeads uses premium old vine fruit and traditional methods, finishing the wine with 14 months in barrel. Hence the gorgeous silky black fruit and lavish oaky complexity.
