In 2007 a certain McLaren Vale family won the coveted Jimmy Watson Trophy for their mighty 2006 Cabernet. As one of the winemakers said, the wine was designed to "show the power and the strength and the fruit of McLaren Vale Cabernet.” It certainly did that! Their Shiraz is even more rich and powerful – as you’ll soon see. This one is their ‘farm’ wine, under a label available usually only from their cellar door (and us!).
