The Wine
Thomas Hardy, one of the founding fathers of Australian wine planted grapes in SA in the 1850s. Geoff Hardy is his great-great-grandson. He left the family wine business in 1980, and with Ian Leask purchased McLaren Vale’s Pertaringa vineyard. Today, ‘Wines by Geoff Hardy’. incorporates the K1, Handcrafted and GMH labels. The Yeoman old vine Shiraz is not made every year, but represents the best of the vintage. It is packaged in a super-heavy bottle and delivers a wealth of deep concentrated flavours. This 2017 boasts a whopping score of 97pts.
