International REDS Dozen

Take a world wine winter tour with these delicious international reds – no passport required! Start in France’s prestige Bordeaux region with the impressive Château Moulin du Prieur Rouge, and then to the Rhône for the mighty Le Prince de Courthézon Côtes du Rhône, as close as you can get to Châteauneuf without the extraordinary price tag. Head to Italy for great Scipione Giuliani’s much-loved Il Papavero Primitivo from Puglia, decadently dark and sumptuous, then to Spain for a marvellous Monastrell (aka Mataro) from the cult Jumilla region, and a gloriously velvety drop from Valencia, eight years old and drinking beautifully now. Last, from Argentina, get stuck into the fabulous T-Bone Malbec from San Juan – the perfect partner (you guessed it!) to a sizzling steak.
