The Wine
The Manzanos family have been grape growers for five generations, then in 2002 they constructed a modern winery of timeless elegance in the heart of the Rioja appellation. Situated at the point where the Ebro and Ega rivers meet, it affords a wonderful view over a beautiful landscape. Following the loss of their father in 2010, brothers Victor and David (even now still in their twenties) run the estate with innovation and flair. The grapes for their fine Reserva were taken from 30 to 60 year old vines grown at 400 metres above sea level, which produce fruit of gorgeous richness and complexity. Matured in finest French and American oak to lend subtle spice notes, Los Hermanos Manzanos will make a delicious partner with herby roast chicken or lamb.
