Wine Summary
Domaine Garrigue Grande is a minute estate in the Languedoc, squeezed in between the much sought after Crus of Lagrasse and Boutenac. It's a stunning region of ancient fortresses, sandy coloured villages and rugged hillsides, lifted by fragrances of pine forests, olive groves and herby garrigue. It’s also a tapestry of wine appellations, many famous like Corbières, Minervois and Saint Chinian. Others, like this one's Côteaux de Saint Laurent de la Cabrerisse, are only known to locals. This ancient estate is set in an old convent - nuns were tending vines as early as 1175. Anne and Xavier made this velvety red from Marselan, with native Syrah and Merlot. It's a winner. Supple enough solo; a tasty partner to hearty dishes or grilled meats.
