Blue Pyrenees Estate was established in 1963 by French company Remy Martin, who recognised the potential in the region’s superb cool climate. Prices are a gift: Each year, Blue Pyrenees, led by chief winemaker Andrew Koerner, reaffirms its claim as being <i> “one of the best value red wine producers in the country ... the prices are a gift” </i> (Huon Hooke). A sumptuous, Gold-medal winning blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, it's a gorgeously complex and layered blend, teeming with cassis, violets, earthy forest floor notes and a velvety finish. A magic match to lamb.
