Zilzie is currently run by Roslyn Forbes and sons Steven and Andrew, whose family have been farming since the early 1900s. Based in McLaren Vales the family also seeks out exceptional parcels of fruit from some of Australia’s best-known wine regions, including the Adelaide Hills, Barossa, Coonawarra, and Yarra Valley. With an approach to winemaking that focusses very much on sustainability and water conservation, their range of wines becomes increasingly impressive – and popular. They were in the Top 10 of Halliday's Popular Choice Awards 2024. "The wines consistently far exceed expectations, given their enticing prices" (Halliday).
