Astonishingly concentrated Shiraz produced from this five-star winery’s best Barossa Shiraz vineyard. It’s all about hand tended vines, sorted bunch-by-bunch, naturally open fermented, basket pressed and stored in French oak barriques from bespoke coopers.
This wine has an intense bright purple hue with lifted aromas of blackberries, spice and blueberry. There is quite a remarkable entry to the palate. A seamlessly soft, but structured Shiraz, with lots of blackberries again, for sure, but also a mid-palate of dark chocolate, cream and spice. An extraordinary Shiraz from the Barossa that will cellar well.
