A stunning Shiraz from Halliday’s Winery of the Year 2016. Tahbilk, owned by the Purbrick family - a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, has a unique heritage of being the oldest family-owned winery and vineyard in Victoria. “It makes wines – particularly red wines – utterly in keeping with that tradition. The essence… comes from tiny quantities of Shiraz made from vines planted in 1860” (Halliday). Ample plum, blackberry fruits, spice and black pepper. Cedar and vanillin notes, with a touch of complexity from age.
