The Wine
This Chardonnay is "Complex and restrained. Roasted nuts and nougat. Underlying citrus blossom. Ample texture. Long fine acidity," according to winemaker Larry Cherubino. Look forward to great texture, a whole lot of complexity, and a finish that will leave you wanting more. “Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed to new French oak for wild fermentation and 10 months maturation. Ticks all the boxes, especially the oak - not because of its flavour, but simply its restraint and contribution to mouthfeel. Are 12% alcohol, and its flavours, tantamount to sauvignon blanc? No way…95pts” (Halliday).
