The cool climate of the Adelaide Hills is perfect for picnics and producing the ultimate wines to take with you. The Lane Vineyard has crafted one excellent high-scoring Pinot Noir Rosé for just that. They're situated on a gorgeous hill overlooking the vineyards, so it's no wonder they do both a premium restaurant lunch and a Panorama Picnic Experience. If you can't make it to their cellar door, give this wine a go closer to home, but get ready to fall in love. Vibrant coral pink, with aromas of dusty strawberries, rhubarb and pomegranate. Pinot Noir finesse, with a fresh citrus drive made for summer drinking. Superb value. Jeni Port in the Halliday Wine Companion loves the colour, a “Vivid tea-rose pink@ and finds it … nicely balanced ”. It's fabulously appealing on the nose showing raspberry, apple, nectarine and floral aromas, followed by a juicy palate delivering lovely fruit purity and persistency.
