The original black pig was named Tanuki. He was a cheeky little pork chop. So loved was he by his winemaking owner, it was only right we honoured this special pig with a wine of his own. Produced from hand-selected fruit from top McLaren Vale vineyards, The Black Pig Shiraz leaps from the glass with sumptuous, rich and ripe blackcurrant tones and vanilla snippets. Oozing lashings of cedar, ripe berries and hints of chocolate this stunning Gold-winning Shiraz is the kind of wine that can drink now with ease, or be laid down for another 8 or so years. Hurry to taste this deliciously dark customer favourite from Greg Follett’s lovely Lake Breeze estate, named Australia’s Champion Small Winery, Champion Wine four times, and well over 25 trophies and 125 Golds. Traditional open fermentation was employed followed by maturation in French oak barriques for 20 months, prior to bottling. The wine displays a lifted aromatics of black fruits and violets, along with some cedary oak nuances. The concentrated palate showcases chocolate and cassis flavours wrapped in grippy tannins, all leading to a wonderfully long finish.

This Shiraz boasts a long history of excellence, a rich haul of international medals including having been crowned ‘International Champion’ at the 20th annual VINUS International Wine & Spirits Competition. Bill Taylor, grandfather of the current custodian, Mitchell, first set foot on the estate on the same day that Neil Armstrong first set foot on the moon, in 1969. Three generations later, Taylors has a worldwide reputation for excellence. In fact, Taylors has been rated the ‘No. 1 Winery in the World’, out of over 50,000 producers, by the prestigious World Association of Wine Writers and Journalists. The palate of this 2023 is lavish, with balanced, luscious fruit, spice and oak, with Clare’s trademark blueberry flavours.

The Limestone Coast region encompasses some of Australia's most revered viticultural land and, without fail, produces reds with both voluptuous fruit and great structure. The 2022 harvest was characterised by its low cropping levels, which resulted in wines of immense power and concentration. The Ravensthorpe Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon brings together flavours of cassis, blackberry and a hint of the region's eucalypts with well-integrated toasty oak characters. A great wine to share with a hearty meal, and with careful cellaring it will continue to improve over the next 4-6 years.

Get ready for full-bodied, rich fruit flavour with this highly awarded, three-time Gold-winning Caravan Petite Sirah (Durif). It's made by Australia’s hottest winemaker, John Quarisa (or Johnny Q as he’s known). For 20 years John worked long hours at some of Australia’s best wineries, including McWilliam’s, Casella and Nugan Estate. He always dreamed of setting up on his own but kept putting it off. That was until wife Josephine ‘spat the dummy’ (as they say in Oz) and told him to get a move on! Now he works even longer hours, but making his own wine, at his own winery. Taste fresh ripe blackberry and plum flavours, hints of pepper and well integrated toasty vanillin oak. Enjoy with a hearty casserole or steak.
