Wine Summary
A gorgeous drop from the talented Scott McCarthy. Born in Mildura, he’s worked at Yalumba, in Napa, the Loire Valley and Marlborough, and often seeks inspiration from Europe’s vineyards. The name Soumah is an abbreviation of South of Maroondah (Highway). Ai Fiori means ‘amongst the flowers’ in Italian, which reflects this gorgeous floral and spice Rosato perfectly. Nebbiolo, Pinot Noir and Brachetto, were left on skins for a short period before fermentation in barrel with wild yeast. A dash of Savagnin (a crisp white grape) was added just before bottling to give it further intrigue, complexity and freshness.
