Wine Summary
Over 100 year's old, d'Arenberg is a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, the estate is now led by Chester Osborn, who delights in creating “richly-robed” reds (Halliday) like 'The Galvo' a Cabernet-rich blend . "Deep purple colour from rim to its heart. Poached blood plums, iodine and dried rosemary aromatics. Plums and tapenade on the palate, fruit-weight is medium to full in its intensity and the tannic profile more than stands up to the job. Muscular and drying yet there's a balance that shows the fruit and winemaking came together. Would definitely recommend a large joint of red meat to make the most of the tannins" (Stuart Knox, The Real Review). To 2028.
