Wine Summary
The pretty Queens Pinch Vineyard is situated not far out of Mudgee, and is owned by the Buchanan family. Before they owned it, the fruit was sold to Southcorp, who considered it to represent the best in the region. Their lovely wines are receiving high praise from several critics, and gaining a name for themselves for their high quality and distinctive flavours. The Cabernet is elegant and expressive - and enjoys a impressive 90 points from Halliday: "Bright crimson-red, this impressive Mudgee cabernet has a core of red berry/cassis fruits together with cedary oak, and an overall attractive earthiness. The tannins are persistent, integrated and well balanced. Terrific value...90pts" (Halliday).
