Wine Summary
The Cabernet portion of Interloper is sourced from Coonawarra, specifically from Parker viticulturalist Brett Williams' vineyard located directly behind the Parker Estate 'Abbey' vineyard. While the Malbec interlopes from the Lienert family vineyard in the Barossa Valley. The resulting Interloper Cabernet Malbec is a fresh and juicy style of wine, showing a well-balanced palate of vibrant acidity, lush red fruits and a bramble savouriness that aptly reflects the region. <br> <i>"An 85/15% blend, matured for 22 months in second-fill French barrels. This is no shrinking violet, full-bodied and armed to the back teeth, but provides great value at its price. Once you have it in your possession, you have to decide between the next barbecue or the next major anniversary for someone (say) 10 years down the track... 90pts</i> (Halliday).
