Peter, who has sadly passed away, was born in 1930, the fifth generation of Barossa pioneers. He made his first wine aged 17, and earned a big name at some of Barossa’s finest estates. </p> <p> To safeguard the livelihood of growers, he opened his own cellar in the 1970s. A huge gamble that paid off big time. Halliday gives the estate his highest rating, 5 Red Stars, and on top of multiple Trophies and Golds, his credentials are really astonishing. </p>
