Wine Summary
This Cabernet has an impressive award winning history, gaining both a Gold and high praise from Wine Advocate in 2013. It's from Argentina's most southerly wine region, Patagonia, which has ideal conditions for vines: light stony soils, clear sunlight and plentiful water, while biting winds result in small, thick skinned berries. Schroeder is one of the region's most prominent estates. The Schroeder story is one of triumph over adversity. Having lost a fortune in debt ridden Germany in the 1920s, Juan Schroeder emigrated and set up a farm in Argentina. In 2001, amidst a national debt crisis, the family established their now very successful estate in Patagonia. It has since won many awards including 'Winery of the Year'. A top red with beef.
