<p> Grüner Veltliner is a vibrantly zesty wine which has gained quite a cult folllowing. Until recently, the best-known examples came from Austria, but the Adelaide Hills is fast becoming the go-to region for Grüner. Huon Hooke, Tony Keys and James Halliday have all rated this luscious example an impressive 91 points. Not suprising really – Geoff Hardy is genuine winemaking royalty, and his wines are unfailingly excellent. </p> <p> <i> “Fermented with unsettled, cloudy juice, successfully aimed at increasing the mouthfeel and flavour of the wine, which wanders through ripe nashi pear and faint touches of white pepper and ginger. A nice example ... 91pts” </i> (Halliday).</ p>
