Wine Summary
Founded by Bernard Dampt in 1980, his three sons Eric, Emmanuel and Hervé now run this fine estate. They have won many top medals and also 'Chablis Young Winemaker of the Year'. Their wines always have a lovely purity of fruit and superb intensity, and their Tonnerre white and Petit Chablis are particularly accessible early on. This 2016 is named after a colourful local character, Charles Geneviève Louis d'Eon de Beaumont, aka the Chevalier d'Eon, who in the 18th century became famous for his cross dressing - as a diplomat, while conducting secret negotiations with the Russian Empress Elizabeth, and as a matter of personal preference.
