Wine Summary
With all the knowledge today in winemaking and viticulture, Bordeaux is making better wines than ever. Not all are made for decades of ageing - many, like this wine, are very appealing in their youth. This Gold medal claret is from a small property situated where the Dordogne meets the Garonne, in the Entre-Deux-Mers. The vines are a mature 30 years old, so yields are small and flavour nicely concentrated. Add to all those credentials the quality of the vintage - 2015 produced wines with lots of ripe fruit and gorgeous depth, yet with the firm backbone of tannins to lend support. Open early and pour into a jug, if there's time, to let the flavours open out a little more, and then enjoy with roast meats. It's great with pan-fried duck, too.
