Winemaker Norrel Robertson is one of Spain’s most acclaimed Garnacha experts. 15 years ago he settled in Calatayud and started buying up plots of precious old vines. Vines up to 120 years old provided the fruit for this intensely fruity red. Calatayud, the highest region of Aragón, sees searingly hot days and chilly nights. The Garnacha vines love it, producing turbo-charged grapes. Anarquista weighs in at a staggering 16%, but you’d never know. Satin smooth and intensely fruity, it makes for incredibly easy drinking.
