The Chopin Brut is a fruity, toasty Blanc de Noirs style Champagne. It displays a fine mousse with ripe stone fruit, brioche and floral aromas. A clas
As Anthony Rose wrote: "Champagnes made by local growers are not just affordable, but in many instances superior to the better known big brands" (The Independent). Didier and Karine Chopin are based in the Marne Valley. They bottled their first Champagne in 1989, made from grapes grown on Karine's family's estate. Today they have an estate of their own. This Brut is made from the two black grapes of Champagne, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Five years on lees have lent it considerable richness and complexity. It's a gorgeous drop, and was recently rated in the top 10 Champagnes for Christmas by The Independent, who called it “both fruity and toasty, with light floral aromas.” But don't just save it for Christmas! It's a fabulous celebratory Champagne for all year round.

We've offered this gold-standard Crémant for over two decades and the multitude of awards, not to mention the pages of 5-star reviews, speak volumes. It's our bestselling fizz by a mile. Winemaker Viviane Gianesini works her magic beneath the cool hills of Limoux. Here, the monks of Saint Hilaire are said to have mastered sparkling wine methods in 1531, centuries ahead of Dom Pérignon. Bottles back then were fragile and didn’t travel, so their success remained a secret. Viviane's cuvée is rich in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (like Champagne) and nearly half the wine is oak fermented (just like Krug)! It’s an expensive technique, yet important for developing the creamy depth and complexity you'd expect of a fine Crémant. A treat any time.
