Wine Summary
Established in 1860 and run continuously by the Purbrick family since 1925, Tahbilk is regarded as one of Victoria’s best producers of cool-climate Cabernet and Shiraz. You’ll find a delicious blend of blackberries, blueberries and vanilla here. Herbal and cedar hints from time spent in American and French oak taking that complexity further, with savoury tannins on the finish giving structure. Jeni Port in the Halliday Wine Companion calls it a "classic in many ways", and Huon Hook in The Real Review points out its "spicy and meaty nuances … delicious flavour and mouth-feel, plenty of extract, generous fluffy tannins and a long long finish. Wonderful balance and drinkability.delicious flavour and mouth-feel, plenty of extract, generous fluffy tannins and a long long finish. Wonderful balance and drinkability.”

Wine Summary
A lavishly rich and grand Barossa Cabernet from ‘the birthplace of the Barossa' as Château Tanunda has been called. It was established in 1890 and is the site of some of the Valley’s first vines planted as well as its first winery. After falling into decline, John Geber, who has owned it since 1998, has restored both the impressive winery building and the estate’s reputation. It truly is grand. And so are its wines – taste this inky black and intense beauty and see. Lifted aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and vanilla are accompanied by vibrant, dark berry fruits on the palate. The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from eighteen months maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels. The tannins are slowly softening thanks to time in bottle. Many 90+ scores, including 93pts from Sam Kim at Wine Orbit, "Offering excellent varietal purity, the bouquet shows blackcurrant, toasted spice, green olive and roasted nut aromas. It's equally satisfying on the palate delivering excellent weight and persistency, splendidly complemented by ripe fruit flavours with fine chalky tannins."

Wine Summary
Taylors are a founding member of Australia’s First Family of Wines and are “managing to do for the Clare Valley what Peter Lehmann did for the Barossa” with “a rich haul of Trophies and Golds at all price points” (Halliday). Bill Taylor, grandfather of the current custodian, Mitchell, first set foot on the estate on the same day that Neil Armstrong first set foot on the moon, in 1969. Three generations later, Taylors has a worldwide reputation for excellence. They've also been voted one of the Top 5 Wineries in the World (for the fourth successive year). The award comes from the World Association of Writers and Journalists of Wines and Spirits (WAWWJ) who combine the results of the top 75 International Wine contests across five continents. In fact, in 2018 the estate was rated the ‘No. 1 Most Awarded Winery in the World’ by this body. Look forward to subtle aromas of cedar and dark chocolate, great intensity with distinctive blackcurrant and cassis fruit flavours. The palate is well balanced, complex and fulfilling and lingers on the finish.
