Protecting your privacy is our top security concern at The Australian WINE.
The Australian WINE offers are made and fulfilled by Wine People Pty Ltd, a member of the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) and so proudly abides by a strict Code of Practice regarding the handling of your personal details and is committed to acting fairly and honestly in all our Member transactions.
Data collected is handled securely and with proper regard for privacy. The collection and use of Member information allows your orders to be processed and delivered to you. It is also used to provide you with marketing and other information about The Australian WINE and its related products and services. We are therefore required to maintain the name, postal and email addresses, telephone number, payment and order processing information of Members when they order from us.
We may occasionally collect information from Members for general research about your interest and attitudes towards our products and services. This information will only be used to ensure we are providing Members with high level services.
We do ask Members to provide us with email addresses. We will only ever use your email address so that we can contact you about your order or answer a query, and to send you special offers you might find worthwhile. If you would rather not receive this information, you can contact us and let us know.
The Australian WINE uses 'cookies' placed in the browser file to help us collect general information about the behaviour of visitors on our site. This helps us to constantly monitor and improve our website's functionality and personality.
In addition The Australian WINE will use information about you to make offers based on your wine preferences.
Any personal information that you give us is private. We will not release personal information to persons or entities without your explicit consent. Exceptions to this are: that we may from time to time share Member contact details with trustworthy third parties who will always be reputable companies that have interesting products and services they wish to promote to you; where we are required by law to disclose certain information; if you have ordered a product from us that requires personalisation, or delivery to you by an external company.
Please note any agents or contractors who have access to personal information are required to protect this information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Statement. They will not use any information for any other purpose than to carry out the services they are performing on behalf of The Australian WINE.
As a part of the National Privacy Principles, Members can advise any time if they: do not wish to receive information from reputable companies, or if they no longer wish to receive product information from The Australian WINE. Customers can advise us of either of the above by contacting our Member Services team on 1300 765 021, by fax on 1300 764 928, or by emailing info@theaustralianwine.com.au. If a Member advises us that they longer wish to receive product information from The Australian WINE , we will ensure their name is also never passed to reputable companies with interesting product offers.
Members can access their personal information at anytime by contacting The Australian WINE via the above channels. Note should a hard copy of personal information be required an administration fee may be charged.
Australian Wine will take responsible steps to ensure that all information we collect, use or disclose is accurate, up to date and is either stored or destroyed in a secured environment accessed only by authorised persons.
Additionally The Australian newspaper (or any of Nationwide News Pty Ltd's related companies) may be in touch by any means at any time in the future to let you know about goods, services or promotions which may be of interest to you. We may also share your information with other persons or entities who assist us in providing our services, running competitions or with other companies who provide prizes for competitions or reader offers. Nationwide News Pty Ltd is part of a global media and entertainment company and could share information with overseas-related companies so they can contact you with offers.
